There was a man well known as a petty swindler and an insurance scammer. He was in court with his biggest con ever. A traffic accident against a huge national trucking company. The man, daily, was wheeled into the courtroom and painfully testified and the defense attorneys couldn't shake him or his story. His legs were useless and he couldn't straighten his hands. The jury awarded him eighty-five million dollars which was upheld on appeal. After the case was finalized, he was wheeled into the trucking company headquarters to pick up his check. The attorney looked at him and said, "We know you're a crook but we couldn't prove it in court. But know this. You are going to have someone tailing you constantly. You will be watched. If you take a single step. If you are found to have use of either of your hands we will have you arrested and hauled in for your scheme." "Oh", says the man, "is that right? Well, let me tell you what's going to happen to give you a heads up. When I leave here, my attorney is going to deposit the check into my account. They will carry me from the wheelchair and load me into a limousine. We will then proceed to Kennedy Airport where they will carefully put me on a private plane and fly to Lourdes, France. When I get there, I will be taken, again by limousine, to the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes where I will pray. And Mister, after I pray, if you are there, by God, you will see the biggest damn miracle ever!"
