Two guys were walking in the woods and found a huge hole in the ground. One said, "I wonder how deep it is. Let's throw something down there to see. There's a big rock. Let's throw it in." The rock goes down the hole and it seems to go on forever. No thud. No splash. No noise. "Hey! Let's throw this big log down there. Surely that will make a noise." Again, no noise. "Man! This thing must be really deep. We need something much bigger. Look right there! An eight foot section of railroad track!" It takes both of them to heave it over the edge of the hole and once again, they heard no noise. A few second later, a big red goat comes running by, faster than anything they've ever seen run, and jumped down into the hole. A man came walking through the woods and came upon the two boys. "What are you two doing all the way out here?" "We're throwing stuff down this hole to see how deep it is." "Sounds exciting, I guess. Say, you two haven't seen my big red goat around here have you?" "Yes sir! He just came by us running really fast and jumped in that hole!" "Hmmm. I don't know how he did that. I had him tied to an eight foot section of rail road track."
