A newly arrived Islamic State jihadist is charged with enforcing curfew in Mosul. The guard's lounging in the shade when a stranger comes up to him and greets him with a ""Salam alaikum."" Instead of responding in the usual ""Wa'alaikum salam,"" the guard grabs the stranger by the collar and drags him to the public execution square. The executioner is already forcing the stranger onto his knees before he thinks to ask, ""What's this guy in for?"" The guard replies, ""Curfew violation."" ""But it's not curfew yet!"" The guard clarifies, ""I know that. But this is the guy who took me in when I first arrived; I know where he lives. There's no way he can make it back in time.""
