A Minnesota factory that makes the Tickle Me Elmo toys – the toy laughs when you tickle it under the arms – took on a new blonde employee. But on only the blonde's second day at work, the foreman complained to the human resources manager that she was so slow, she was holding up the entire production line. The HR manager decided to investigate for himself, and so the two men went down to the factory floor. There, they saw the blonde surrounded by dozens of Tickle Me Elmos while her fellow workers waited impatiently. The blonde had a roll of plush red fabric and a huge bag of small marbles, and the HR manager and the foreman watched in amazement as she cut a piece of fabric, wrapped it around two marbles and carefully sewed the little package between each Elmo's legs. The HR manager suddenly burst out laughing and told the blonde: "I'm sorry, but I think you misunderstood the instructions I gave you yesterday. Your job is to give Elmo two test tickles!"
